Seattle 68, or Yom Kippur, the short version

The most important thing right now: I got to blow shofar, with a dozen other shofar blowers (okay, some of them were children, to be fair) and I outblasted/outlasted ALL OF THEM.

Finally, it feels like chag.

Hey, children can be pretty damn good shofar blowers. You should hear Adeena blow shofar. She's better than Zev now.

I wanted to call you last night to make sure you got to blow shofar, and I'm relieved to find you did. Yes, the ten Days of Awe are perfect and complete now that I know you blew the T'kiah G'dolah to end Ne'ila!

Congratulations, but I agree with Sparrow: At our services it was only children that blew the Shofar ( about half a dozen of them!) and to be truthful, it was the most melodious part of the day!!

Yes, children blowing shofar are great - I will say without hesitation that my best student at my shofar lesson last week was a seven year old. But let's talk lung capacity, folks. Come on. It's not *really* a fair fight.
