What about the weird little recordings that play at you in the walkway to the parking garage? (Though that's only in the Southwest terminal, so you may not have come across it.)
Anyway, yeah, Fort Lauderdale's pretty nice - especially compared to the Miami airport, which is a bit of a mess. FLL is also a lot cheaper most of the time.
