Here's a picture of the center of the Bone Church. That chandelier in the center contains at least one of every kind of human bone! Notice the "skull chains" that adorn the arched ceilings.
Wow... I can't decide if I find it strangely beautiful or creepy. I looked the church up on the web to read some of its history. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing- I love learning about new places and things! :)
OK, this church thing is too creepy. Why would a church unearth it's dead people and DECORATE with their bones? What could possibly be their motivation? Admittedly, I haven't done the research... Your pics are good; you should post some more!!! Love, TCO
Hi Dana, Hey, I think its cool that they celebrate those who have passed on, rather than hiding them away like we do in the US. Death is a major part of the human life cycle, and shouldn't be treated as somthing creepy. That being said, I do find the church kind of eerie. . . its probably the result of being surrounded by American culture. Love, Emily
